[maxgallery name=”1415-mission-street-development-update”]A slew of ownership changes has not stopped builder Build Group from progressing through construction of 1401 Mission Street (also referred to as 1415 Mission). The 121 unit reinforced concrete structure, currently owned by Monogram Residential Trust, will rise to 12 stories, contain 2 levels of subterranean parking, and include 24 affordable homes. A peek through construction fencing showed the building ready to breach street level as crews complete work on the lowest basement level and falsework is being setup for the ground floor. Based on Arquitectonica renderings, the design is clean, modern, and shows inspiration from SoMa’s warehouse dominated past.
The 1401 Mission Street site, along with 1321 Mission Street (The Panoramic), 1400 Mission Street, and 1190 Mission Street (Trinity Place Phase III), has added to west SoMa’s ongoing building boom and neighborhood revitalization. Even though planned building completion is set for spring of next year, based on current progress, mid to late summer seems to be a more realistic timeframe.
