Within the past 2 years the Van Ness Avenue Corridor has seen a construction renaissance with a multitude of new development projects. Amero, the six story 27 unit building under construction at 1501 Filbert Street, represents one of these projects. Currently behind a thin veil of construction wrap, the steel and concrete structure is progressing through the development life cycle with work recently started on the exterior facade. Developer Trumark Urban is sprinting towards a summer 2014 deadline for the $37.8 million project. When completed, the building will offer either 15 two bedroom or 12 three bedroom units, 38 parking spaces, and 3000 sq feet of retail space. Renderings by architect Naylor & Chu, show a contemporary but typical design that will blend with nearby buildings.
