Greystar and Ivanhoé Cambridge are spearheading the construction of a new apartment building with 87 units (one and two bedroom), 5,115 sq. feet of retail space, 36 (two car share) subterranean parking spaces, 89 class 1 and 14 class 2 bicycle stalls. The structure, rising six stories on Market Street and tapering to four on Sanchez Street, will satisfy its open space requirement with a rooftop terrace complete with hot tub, sun deck, fire pit, and patio dining. Renderings, by Heller Manus, show a modest and somewhat utilitarian building that will have minimal impact to sunshine, views, and the local building scape. General contractor James E. Roberts – Obayashi Corp plans to complete the project by summer 2016.
