A man behind the counter, armed with a chef knife, began to hack at the roasted carcass. Not content with his progress, he switched to a serrated knife and begun sawing. After a couple of moments with the man and his young sheep, I wandered away and headed towards the rear of the hall. Navigating through thick throngs of people, I stumbled upon a group of awestruck onlookers gazing at a darting man donned in a chef uniform. The white coated performer moved with coordinated grace as he twirled discs of pizza dough above, below, and around his body — even jettisoning some into the crowd. After nearly four hours indulging in food, wine, and distilled liquors last Saturday in Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion, I called it a day and went home.
Eat Drink SF annual festival, held four days from August 20th to August 23rd, comprised of a series of tastings, classes, and parties centered around all things food and beverage.[maxgallery name=”eat-drink-sf-other”]
