[maxgallery name=”june-03-2014-san-francisco-vote”]Today, California’s electorate votes on a varied array of local, state and federal elected positions and ballot measures. The governor seat is up for election but Jerry Brown is expected to easily win another term. Locally, an important measure on the San Francisco ballot is the proposition to require a citywide vote on proposed structures exceeding height limits on all of the Port Of San Francisco’s properties. With the Embarcadero Freeway still fresh in their minds, proponents of the measure want to protect the waterfront properties from new obstructions while opponents argue taller structures are needed to meet the demands for housing and office spaces. Regardless of your position, it is important to vote for these candidates and measures as they can have a profound effect on everyone’s quality of life.
