What a difference a year makes! Nearly a year after we visited SoMa’s South Beach neighborhood, we returned to scope out the progress on several noteworthy buildings that were in the embryonic stages of construction in early 2014. A setting sun streaked the sky with brilliant colors of orange and crimson red, and provided favorable conditions to photograph these rising buildings, all which have shown significant progress when compared to the earlier visit. Each building has a design ethos inspired by SoMa’s historical architectural past with many sharing the brick character of the neighborhood’s old warehouses or retaining facades from the original buildings. Below is a photo shoot of the most notable properties.
